The School District of Osceola County has limited funding to reimburse the test registration fee for an Osceola teacher who passed a core academic subject area exam. The test must have been taken, the official passing score report received, and the subject added to the certificate all during the period of July 1, 2022, through May 31, 2023. The test must be for a new subject not previously held on the Florida certificate. The reimbursement is limited to one subject per teacher.

An appropriate subject area exam taken and passed July 1, 2022 – May 31, 2023, and added to the certificate, will be reimbursed the $150 testing fee, until funds are depleted. Additionally, all requests must be submitted by June 30, 2023. This reimbursement is limited to Osceola district and charter school full-time teachers only.

The acceptable subjects allowed for this reimbursement are:

  • PreK/Primary
  • Elementary K-6
  • Math (Middle Grades and 6-12)
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Earth/Space Science
  • Middle Grades General Science
  • English (Middle Grades and 6-12) Note: This test includes an Essay section and will take 4-6 weeks for hand scoring.
  • Social Science (Middle Grades and 6-12)
  • Reading K-12
