The Osceola County Education Association is excited to present the READING & ESE 40-hour course, designed to empower educators and enhance students’ learning experiences. This comprehensive program meets the Florida statute requirements for the renewal or reinstatement of a professional certificate, focusing on evidence-based instruction tailored for students with dyslexia and other reading challenges, such as ADHD and SLD.
Participants will gain valuable insights into effective reading instruction and interventions, honing their skills in areas like phonological awareness, decoding, and multisensory strategies. With expert instructors and a curriculum aligned with district practices, this course offers a supportive learning environment through both online and face-to-face classes.
The online sessions will take place on select Mondays from 5:30 to 3:30, while Saturday classes will be held on 4/4 and 4/18. All participants are required to attend all classes and submit work by 5/1/2026. Best of all, the course is free for OCEA members, while non-members can register for $250.
