On September 3, 2025, everyone in the Instructional and Support Staff units will be able to vote YES or NO to the tentative agreements between SDOC and OCEA. Please see below for a quick summary of the agreements and a direct link to the ratification packets for more details.

What happens next?

If the majority of the votes are YES, the changes will become part of the contract after the School Board votes at the next school board meeting on September 10, 2025. Raises will be paid retroactively from July, most likely by the first pay period in October. If the majority votes NO, the school board may declare an impasse, and we will go to arbitration. Florida law allows school districts to impose contracts for one year, regardless of the arbitrator’s recommendations.
