The school board ratified the contract last night, making the changes official. Please review the following language and note that our school board approved this to acknowledge that teachers are professionals who know how to manage their time effectively. Teachers are no longer required to meet Monday through Friday during planning periods or on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday afternoons. However, teachers are welcome to meet more often if they choose. Hopefully, returning this time to each educator will promote more collaboration, especially during MTSS meetings. Attendance at meetings during planning time is not mandatory, except for testing training, but responsibilities should be balanced within the workday schedule.
